With just over a year until the Kyoto Protocol runs its course, the Missouri Transatlantic Center held a forum to address the EU and US's differing views on climate change. The conference addressed the following issues:
- Is it time to admit that global warming is an issue where the United States and Europe will never see eye-to-eye?
- Is an international agreement to cap greenhouse gas emissions still desirable and achievable?
- Outside the arena of international talks, what actions can the EU and the US take to combat warming and deal with the consequences of climate change?
