What will mass media in the United States and the European Union look like in a decade?

In a followup to the January 2010 conference by the same name, the Missouri Transatlantic Center held a second event focusing on the changing nature of journalism in both the United States and European Union.

It addressed the following issues:
• How will citizen journalism, social networking, and new delivery methods affect the way journalists do business in a democratic society?
• What business models both currently in place and under development show promise in leading journalists to a profitable method of reporting?
• What lessons can the United States learn from EU public broadcasting models? What lessons can the EU learn from United States business models?
